March 2010 - South Hadley Reads Three Cups of Tea, update on library design, Wii electronic gaming night, Author Martha Johnson gives a talk based on her new book Why Not Do What You Love?, Hypnosis Program & Demonstration, Dollar Scholar Personal Finance Solution Hour, Cabin Fever Craft Day, “Passport to Chemistry Adventure” program for children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade, and new features in the Byki language learning program available at the Library's website. February 2010 -- Library hires "owners project manager," Library now on Facebook, seeking input on the catalog, and school vacation week activities. January 2010 -- Free Byki program to learn languages announced, Census job testing at the Library, tax forms now available, adult and youth programs, "Scene Smoking" film progrqm, resumption of the Dollar Scholar program, and new procedure for checking out headphones for public computers. December 2009 -- Program by Sparkie Allison, author of Moon's Embrace, Wii game night, and request for bookdrop help during holiday closings. November 2009 -- Update on the planning and design project, Wii game night, discussion of People of the Book, and evening program on JFK, the Warren Report, and the closing of the Springfield armory. October 2009 -- Program on the Indian wars of New England, benefits of giving us your email address, medium Lisa Marie Lanno program, The Lace Reader book club discussion, aspiring entrepreneurs series continues. September 2009 - Library building program, author Samantha Wilde, library card sign-up month, youth crafts, book group discussion of The Archivist, and a Greek bouzouki concert. July-August 2009 - Summer reading program continues, former NASA Administrator speaks, Peter Biedermann guitar solo, international film festival, Scholastic book fair, workshop on preservation and care of family records, seminar on employer's retirement plans, library gets an electronic page magnifier. June 2009 - The "Starship Adventure" summer reading program kicks off, author Kris Holloway speaking, Gates Foundation funds four new computers, Friends meet, check out a space alien to take on vacation, and the careers series and Dollar Scholar Solution Hour program continue. May 2009 - Quabbin Reservoir lecture, career series starts, Little Scarlet for May book club, new KidsOnline catalog, interlibrary deliveries up 64%, and Dollar Scholar personal finance series continues. April 2009 - Name the newsletter, new electronic games, Rita Schiano author talk, Springtime fun for youth, local history, and Booklist Online. Winter 2009 - Return on your library investment; winter parking ban does not affect library parking; interlibrary loans take time; youth programs; and preserving your privacy when using public computers. Winter 2008 - New history databases; 2007 library statistics. Fall 2008 - New plan, new mission statement; local history roundtable; why you benefit from giving the Library your email address; Friends of the Library.
